Marcus D. Stroud
Marcus D. Stroud is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Sequence. He is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the firm, guiding its investment priorities, team development, and long-term vision. Marcus also leads Sequence’s Sports strategy, overseeing deal origination, capital formation, and partnerships within the firm’s platform of sports and human performance assets. Prior to founding Sequence, Marcus held roles at MarketAxess, CIG, and Obra Capital. Marcus received his A.B. from Princeton University. Marcus has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 and the Dallas CEO 500 (2021 and 2022) for his work in investing and leadership. He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of Capital Creek Partners and the Princeton Faith & Work Initiative, and is a member of the Kauffman Fellows Class 28. Marcus is based in Los Angeles, California.

Brandon M. Allen
Brandon M. Allen is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Sequence, focusing on the Sequence Venture Strategy. He focuses on sourcing, portfolio engagement, and investor relations. He serves on multiple boards, including the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners by Governor Abbott's appointment. A Princeton University graduate and Boston native, Brandon was recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30. Brandon is based in New York, NY.

Brett C. Brewer
Brett C. Brewer is a Managing Partner at Sequence. Previously, Brett was a Co-Founder and General Partner at Crosscut VC, an institutionally-backed early-stage venture capital firm, where he led the firm through five funds and accumulated over $350M in assets under management. An early internet pioneer, Brett co-founded Intermix Media/MySpace, which sold for $580M to Rupert Murdoch and FOX in 2005. He then served as President of Adknowledge, a digital advertising company, scaling revenues from $30M to $300M. A recognized Los Angeles leader and angel investor who has served on the boards of BeBe, InterMix Media, and PacSun, Brett founded LA Tech Cares during the pandemic and received the Frank E. Baxter Heroes Award for his contributions to education and technology. A graduate of UCLA, Brett is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Brad B. Palmer
Brad B. Palmer is a Managing Partner at Sequence and helps lead the firm's management and capital formation initiatives. A serial entrepreneur, Brad founded B3 Group in 2008, an IT consulting and digital transformation firm specializing in enterprise application modernization, cloud engineering, and data analytics, servicing federal agencies including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA. After partnering with private equity in 2021, the platform was ultimately acquired by IBM Consulting. Brad has a proven track record of investing in and advising companies that focus on AI, SaaS, digital health, and sports technology, including several successful exits. He received his BBA in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University, his Masters in Education from Clemson University, and is currently pursuing studies at Columbia School of Business. He is based in the Washington, D.C. area.

Isaiah L. Massey
Isaiah L. Massey is a Managing Partner at Fund Services Group, where he leads the delivery of Sequence's Outsourced CFO Services, focusing on private fund structuring, accounting, reporting, compliance, vendor selection, integration, and supervision. Prior to launching FSG, Isaiah served as CFO and CCO at a prominent private fund manager located in Houston, Texas, as well as at Stratfor, a geopolitical intelligence firm, after beginning his career as an auditor with Deloitte and Touché. Isaiah graduated from Wichita State University with a B.B.A in Accounting, and from the University of Texas at Austin with a Masters in Public Accounting.

Joshua A. Bonhotal
Joshua A. Bonhotal is a Director at Sequence Equity, where he leads investments in sports teams, leagues, as well as sports-adjacent and human performance technologies, bringing his unique experience as both a tech founder and sports performance expert. Previously, he served as VP of Operations at Future, scaling the company from Seed through Series C and raising over $100M from Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, among others. Prior to Future, Josh was the Director of Sports Performance for Purdue Basketball where he developed six NBA players. A former Chicago Bulls Strength & Conditioning Coach who worked with MVP Derrick Rose, his work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN.

Matthew R. Jester
Matthew R. Jester is the Chief of Staff at Sequence Equity, leading the execution of strategic initiatives across all investment strategies, expanding upon his experience with the firm in a variety of capacities since 2020. Prior to joining Sequence full-time, Matthew signed to play professional football for the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos, was an Associate at Sovereign’s Capital focused on public equities, and an M&A Investment Banking Analyst at Barclays, gaining experience in fundraising, financial analysis, and structured finance transactions. Matthew graduated from Princeton University and brings a unique combination of experience to the Sequence team. He is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Heather Delgado is a Managing Director at Fund Services Group, assisting with the delivery of Sequence's Outsourced CFO Services, focusing on IT, private fund structuring, accounting, reporting, compliance, vendor selection, integration, and supervision.

Yael Costilla
Yael Costilla is a Managing Director at Fund Services Group, assisting with the delivery of Sequence's Outsourced CFO Services, focusing on IT, private fund structuring, accounting, reporting, compliance, vendor selection, integration, and supervision.
